Can You Prevent Cellulite?

Cellulite is the formation of fatty deposits beneath the surface of the skin in certain areas of your body. Typically, they show up in the thighs and hips. When a person begins to develop cellulite they just wish they had done everything possible for preventing cellulite. But sometimes it’s too late and they have to deal with the insecurities that come with cellulite. The tips in this article will help you prevent cellulite if you’re worried about it developing.

The first thing you must do is exercise. Go outside for a jog with the dog or even cycling with your partner. These simple exercises can be enough to release the body heat that can burn down fats. The other thing you can do is walking exercises to improve the circulation of blood in your system, a good way to make sure fats don’t build up. As well, you should investigate certain cellulite exercises that specifically focus on reducing this form of fat.

But the best preventative measure is by far monitoring one’s diet. When eating, you should avoid foods with a lot of fat. This includes take-out, deep fried foods, ice cream and margarine. Your diet is the ultimate cause of cellulite apart from hereditary factors that doom you to a life of weight related problems.

A negative calorie diet is a sure fire way to ensure that excess body fats are taken care of. Negative calorie foods are acidic to a point where they promote the burning down of food. Acidic fruits and vegetables mustn’t be taken in excess though. Negative calorie food examples are lettuce, watermelons, oranges, grapes, papaya and lemons.

Cellulite toxins make it extremely difficult for your body to break down fats. Cellulite toxins are found in abundance in alcohol, cigarettes and coffee. So if you want to encourage the natural burning of cellulite you must be serious about quitting these substances. If your body stores too many cellulite toxins you will probably have stretch marks in the future.

If quitting alcohol, cigarettes and coffee is difficult I suggest water therapy. Water therapy negates the effect of cellulite toxins by neutralizing them. Try drinking more water than you currently do and smoke less so as to keep the cellulite toxins at a manageable level. But don’t fool yourself into believing that drinking water alone is enough. You will have to combine this with the above mentioned tips.

An alternative to all these measures is cellulite creams. Some people have found these creams to be effective at minimizing the appearance of cellulite and rejuvenating the skin. But the effect of these creams can be enhanced considerably if you apply them during a massage. Massage improves blood circulation, a characteristic that helps burn out fats under the skin.

You can spend lots on creams, lotions and treatments to reduce cellulite, but you may be basically flushing money down the toilet on products that are well promoted but ineffective. The most appropriate way to target this unsightly condition is through a healthy diet and specific cellulite exercise.
