There are hundreds of different types of beauty products out on the market and sometimes it’s hard to know just how to use them the right way. If they aren’t used right, you will end up with a look that you didn’t want, and they can even make you look older, which no woman wants. And, you sure don’t want to end up on the “wrong” list by simply using makeup wrong. To make sure that you don’t fall into that category, here are six easy to follow tips on using basic types of makeup the right way:
Basic #1: Lip Gloss – For one of the easiest to use beauty products, it is also one that is misused more often than not. You simply have to use it sparingly and not use too much. Many women overuse their lip gloss and end up globbing it all over their lips, when all you really need is one simple, light coat to do the job. Gloss is made to help your lips look dewy, not dripping wet.
Basic #2: Lip Liners – These are the main culprits behind some of the worst lip stick problems out there and are one of the main types of beauty products that are used incorrectly. Lip liners should only be used to shade in the lips, not to outline them. And, they should be within a shade of the lipstick that you plan to use, not a complete contrast to it. Also, you should not use lip liners to outline your entire mouth with a thick line, use it to shade and color your lips before you put on lipstick.
Basic #3: Eye Pencils – Eye pencils can be a hard choice and you don’t always want to go with the cheapest one. You want to find one that is soft, so it glides along your eyelid. Pencils that are harder and require harder sharpeners are normally not good to use and they can actually hurt your eyelids when applied. Also, those pencils that are harder also take more to blend in with eyeshadows as well as blend in to your other makeup.
Basic #4: Mascara – While mascara is a staple in any woman’s beauty products bag, there are a few things that you want to keep in mind. One is that you should get the right color for your hair and skin tone so that you don’t look overly made up. And, you want to make sure that you take the time to apply it correctly so you don’t end up with bumps of mascara on your eyelashes. If you do have bumps of mascara, make sure that you brush them out quickly before they dry.
Basic #5: Eyeshadow – You want a good quality eyeshadow so that you aren’t using tons of it just to see it. Also, you want to make sure that you have the right shade for your skin and eyes. Keep in mind that no matter what color your skin and eyes are, silvery eyeshadows will make your eyes look brighter and help revive bags and dark spots under your eyes.
Basic #6: Color Correctors – For some women, they use these on a daily basis when they don’t need to. Color correctors are only made to be used for those that have ruddy complexions or problem blood vessels in their face. But, when used without a reason, they are noticeable and look terrible. If you use them, make sure that you have reason to use them.
By using these easy to follow tips for basic beauty products, you will find that it’s easy to look great with the right types of makeup. It won’t matter how much you spend or what type of makeup you purchase, it’s easy to look great as long as you know how to apply the basics of makeup right.
