Having acne is just one possible skin disorder you may have to face. You may be dealing with other issues such as wrinkle, fine lines, acne scars hyper pigmentation or rosacea. For a homemade acne treatment lemon juice can be quite effective.

Several factors contribute to the occurrence of skin disorders. Sun damage, the environment, cosmetics, soaps or detergents that contain harsh chemicals, and an improper diet. Getting sufficient vitamins and minerals plays a vital role in your overall health including the skin. Proteins are important as well as these will repair and restore damaged tissue.

The most common skin disorders that people suffer from are uneven skin tone, acne, wrinkles and fine lines. This often happens due to lack of vitamins and minerals. You must feed your body in order for it to perform optimally. The body needs these vitamins just to exist. A good example of this is lemons, they provide a good source of vitamins and mineral and also contain anti oxidants that promote healthy skin. A combination of minerals, vitamins and proteins aid in the promotion of healthy skin.

The reason that lemon juice can be a good homemade acne treatment is the contents provide calcium, minerals like potassium and also magnesium. Plus important vitamins such as C,E and B. Acne can occur when the hair follicle gets clogged and becomes inflamed. Acne scarring occurs when there is irregular tissue growth and production of collagen. Not getting enough B complex and not enough hydration results in wrinkles. Lack of vitamin C can be the cause of hyper pigmentation.

For an effective homemade acne treatment, and overall healthier skin, use lemon juice topically and orally, your skin will feel supple, clean and softer.

After slicing a piece of lemon, apply it right to the affected areas on the face. You can also extract the juice onto a cotton ball and apply it to the affected areas. Using some type of applicant would probably be best to assure the spreading of bacteria.

Make sure you use different cotton balls for the affected and non affected areas. Leave on your face for several hours, then rinse with tepid water and pat dry (do not rub your face with the towel). This will leave you skin feeling clean and fresh. Lemon juice will help to remove the excess sebum, remove dead cells, dirt and kill germs. If you feel like your skin is burning, just add a little water to the juice so it is not so potent.
