It is a sad fact but many people have no time to consult a dermatologist either because they are too busy or do not have the money to pay for services. If you are one of those people who fall under this category, don’t waste time worrying. Taking care of your skin is easy and does not need to be costly. If you have no underlying skin problem, here is a quick guide to looking beautiful:
The sun is the skins number one enemy because it leads to wrinkles, freckles, age spots, rough, dry skin and skin cancer. To preserve your youthful countenance and prevent skin cancer, keep away from the sun. Stay indoors between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. when the sun’s rays are strongest. If you must go out at these times, be armed with some serious sun protectors such as an umbrella, a wide-brimmed hat, long-sleeved shirts, and long pants.
If you have enough money, purchase some cool and comfy sun-protective clothing. These clothes were made to stop the suns ultraviolet rays. Another good alternative in the war against sunlight is a reliable sunscreen. Don’t scrimp on this but apply it liberally to exposed areas of the skin 30 minutes before leaving home. After swimming or heavy perspiration, reapply sunscreen every two hours for more protection.
How many times have you heard that smoking is bad because it can give you cancer? Another reason to avoid smoking is because it can also ruin your face. Smoking ages the skin and makes you older than you really are. It creates wrinkles since it blocks the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin. Because of this, there is reduced blood flow and the skin doesn’t receive the oxygen and nutrients it needs to stay young. To make things worse, smoking damages collagen and elastin that are responsible for skin strength and elasticity. So stop smoking now before its too late.
If you tan frequently, make certain you are taking the necessary precautions. Always use proper lotions and make certain that the bulbs in your personal bed are frequently replaced.
