Using oatmeal in a facial is not anything new. There is an array of homemade facials out there that you can put to use in order to get your skin to look and feel enhanced. A lot of people who are professionals in homeopathic skin care suggest utilizing oatmeal as one of your main ingredients.

Others simply prefer the natural ingredients. No matter why you want to homemade facials, explore those using oatmeal because oatmeal is great for the skin. The following oatmeal facial recipes are good ones to try.

The following is a very simple homemade facial recipe that uses oatmeal. Amalgamate a couple teaspoons of oatmeal and a teaspoon of baking soda. Add enough water to turn the baking soda and oatmeal mixture into a good paste. Smear the paste over your face while being careful to steer clear of your eyes and the skin near them. Apply the cream softly onto your skin and, as soon as you have waited a minute, wet your face clean with some clean warm water. Dab your face dry with a clean and luxurious towel.

After that time, wash it off with water and papaya soap, which can be found in most organic sections of the grocery store. Use whatever soap you have on hand if you don’t want to use papaya soap. If you suffer from dry skin, use this recipe. Mash a ripe banana and mix it with a cup of oatmeal. Thin out this thick mixture with milk to form a creamy paste. Let this mixture sit for about fifteen minutes after spreading on your face, taking care to avoid the area around your eyes. Use clean water to rinse it off after the fifteen minutes. You should notice the difference in your skin right away.

If your skin tends to be on the dry side try this next method. Use a tablespoon of dry oatmeal to massage your face. Next mash a ripe banana with a couple ounces of plain yogurt and apply. You want to spread the banana and yogurt mixture evenly across your entire face (except for your eyes). Rinse this mixture off with warm tepid water after it’s sat on your skin for 20 minutes or more.

As you can see there are many types of facial methods you can choose from. Try to remember that if you have sensitive skin, you should do a patch test for each recipe before you spread them across your whole face. With any luck you will find an oatmeal facial that helps you cleanse and moisturize your skin for far less than you would have spent at a spa or on facial ingredients.

I wrote this guide about DIY Oatmeal Facial since it’s health related and while imagining a career in the dental assistant niche, I published a summary entitled dental hygienist job description you’ll find very worthwhile.
