These types of eczema that most people tend to suffer from is atopic eczema. An outbreak causes the person severe discomfort in that their skin becomes raised and inflamed and they end up scratching due to itchiness and it is thought that maybe this is due to a breakdown of the immune system. This type occurs periodically on and off and will flare up should the person be in contact with allergen of some sort. There will always be a common factor and family history of allergies associated.

There is also a types of eczema known as Dyshidrotic eczema whereby one will have deep clear blistering and extreme itching on the hands as well as the palms and the soles of the feet and blisters along the sides of the toes the person will also experience a burning sensation. Causes are as yet unknown. There are around twenty percent of people that suffer from this condition and this condition is also known as vesicular palmoplanter eczema.

This types of eczema is very common during the months of spring and summer and also common in tropical climates which may suggest that heat has something to do with the onset of this type of dermatitis.

An eczema that is really quite hideous is nummular eczema and common areas where the breakouts occur is the arms, back, buttocks and lower legs presenting with coin shaped inflamed patched which are also very itchy and the area becomes crusted or scaly. These types of eczema occurs mostly in elderly men.

This could be an associated allergy especially if there is a history of atopic dermatitis in the family and if there is then there is obviously an increased risk of contracting nummular dermatitis and this condition is termed as chronic. This type of eczema is still puzzling doctors.

There is a vague possibility that dry skin could be one of the factors as well as medications that are used in the treatment of acne could be causing nummular dermatitis although the definite cause for this disease is unidentified. When there is an eruption the person must avoid coming into contact with substances like soap and washing liquids. If you go online there is a fortune of literature on these types of eczema.
