Tea tree oil has also been long in use as an anti bacterial agent. Researches have shown tea tree oil to be as potent as benzoyl peroxide when it comes to destroying bacteria. Tea tree oil is very easy to use. Just pour a few drops of it on a cotton swab and apply on the acne lesion. Avoid using excessive quantities of tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is available at all natural food and health food stores.

Some points that need to be noted

Gently scrub the skin when you are cleaning. Hard scrubbing can worsen the acne condition. Use a cleanser that suits your skin. Stay away from cleansers that contain chemicals that can hurt your skin. Home made remedies take time to show results but make the skin healthy and less irritable. Never use any skin product without getting the physician’s nod. That applies even to home made products. You must drink lots of water and switch over to a low carb diet.

The biggest problem that I have with the drug is that it causes toxicity in the body and quite a few problems on your internal organs such as your liver as well. This causes stress on the body and health problems on internal organs that would not be caused otherwise. I have found that accutane can cause many different side effects along with the one’s I was aware of originally so I want to share with you what the drug can do so that you can make a better and smarter decision as to whether it’s right for you in treating your acne or not.

Accutane has been shown to have many “side” effects but honestly the drug is so toxic that it seems like everyone who get’s on it has health problems from it regardless of if they know it or not yet. Take my mother for example, she took it and got rid of her acne fairly quicker and it wasn’t until years later when my brother was born that the birth defect was known and then it wasn’t until years later after that she found out she had cancer and liver problems along with that. It has shown to have side effects such as crohn’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease, severe depression, suicidal thoughts, birth defects and liver damage and possibly even more.

I don’t know about you but this list is scary enough for me to stay away from this drug and not even consider taking it. Of course my personal experience will play into this because I have seen my brother’s accutane birth defect firsthand and it is not a health benefiting drug to take. My mother also had cancer years after she had my brother and had colon and liver problems and during that time they found traces of accutane in her body.
