Are you aware of Green Tea being a superb nutrition tea? If so, are you still unsure about exactly what it is that makes its benefits so immeasurable? If you are among the many thousands who know of Green Tea, but do not know any specifics about its goodness, then keep reading, as you will soon find out some surprising specifics!

Green Tea, Oolong Tea and Black Tea, were each derived over 4,000 years ago in China, and they have all been drank on a daily basis ever since to maintain whilst improving general health. However, it is only in recent years that the dietary properties and the effects these teas have on health as a whole have gained universal acknowledgment. Throughout the world, there have been massive amounts of scientific and medical studies completed in an attempt to learn just how significant Green Tea can be to you, and the overall conclusions to date prove that it prolongs and considerably improves vitality and life span.

The core component in Green Tea that has given it its ‘miracle tea’ superiority are catechin polyphenols, distinctively epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). They are however more commonly known to most of us as antioxidants. What differentiates Green Tea as a nutrition tea from Oolong and Black Tea, is that during production Green Tea leaves are steamed, thus preventing the potent EGCG’s from oxidization. However, fermentation is used with Oolong and Black Tea leaves, which converts EGCG’s into other compounds. This fact gives Green Tea its prominence over all other teas.

Proudly holding 27% catechin polyphenols, Green Tea is confirmed to be 100 times more significant to you than its challenger Vitamin C and 25 times more precious than Vitamin E! You can now happily become a Green Tea convert on that piece of information alone!

Three Main Health Benefits Of Green Tea You Did Not Know, Before Now… 1.EGCG can actually kill cancer cells, at ALL stages of cancer! It does this by inhibiting the growth of tumours, eradicating tumour promoters, blocking chemical carcinogens and neutralizing enzymes that are involved in cell proliferation. 2.These wonderful antioxidants also lower LDL cholesterol levels in the blood, by latching onto the cholesterol globules and preventing them from sticking to the lining of the arteries for example. As well as this, they inhibit formation of blood clots (Thrombosis), which can prevent strokes and heart attacks. 3.Free Radicals, which are produced naturally to some degree in the body, are electrons in an ‘unpaired state’. Because of this they can cause damage to cell membranes and internal structures, allowing development of cancer, cardiovascular diseases and can damage DNA. The good news is that, simply put, EGCG (antioxidants) kill Free Radicals!

By absorbing these 3 main benefits above, you can see why for 4,000 plus years Green Tea has been used as a nutrition tea for medicinal purposes as well as for general well being in the Far East. You might be inclined to assume that with Green Tea being so good for you that it may not deliver a much sought after flavour, but on the contrary – Green Tea has an extremely delicate flavour and is superbly refreshing and light compared to your regular teas and coffees!

Significant among the many health benefits that Resveratrol offers, is the reduced risk of prostate cancer. Some experts may disagree, but the good news is that there is considerable scientific evidence available to substantiate the direct link between Resveratrol intake and reduced risk of prostate cancer. In recent times, various reports have been published in leading health magazines about the positive role played by Resveratrol in reducing risks associated with the onset of prostate cancer.

Very recently a certain amount of attention been focused on a certain journal called Nature. The article thus published has demonstrated the facts that both the improved healths as well as survival as was seen in the mice were actually fed on a high-fat diet. This diet was then again supplemented with Resveratrol. This is the same flavonoid which has been shown an increment in the life span of many organisms like the yeast, flies, fish and even worms. These researchers have all linked the benevolent effects of this element with the mechanisms underlying caloric restriction. This has also shown that such scientific approaches could well be utilized to fight a few chronic disorders as well as aging diseases.

According to a few press reports accompanying the aforementioned scientific article has generated or should we say has invited a decent amount of controversy. This controversy primarily stems is well related to the dosage that was used in the experiments that were conducted over mice. The controversial issue also has its roots in the estimated human-suited dose that might just be required to have the same type of biological effects. The Life Extension Foundation happens to be the only organization that has duly taken up a product made out of grape-seed/Resveratrol already in use by a particular health-conscious person and has manifested all the favorable biological effects carried by this element.

Very recently Life Extension have come up with the reports that all these experimental animal studies were conducted by a certain company called BioMarker Pharmaceuticals and these experiments did undergo the procedures that used exactly the same amount of grape extract that was duly fortified with Resveratrol currently used by the members of this particular foundation. Most of these studies were mainly made so as to evaluate the primary gene-expression response in the mice fed with Resveratrol.

The element Resveratrol as has been told earlier has several fascinating qualities and if these effects are also observed in humans then it wont be very far when it becomes the most sought after substance in the whole wide world. One of the most important properties that Resveratol has is that of Cancer prevention and this anti-cancer property has so far only been proved in mice. The day its proved in humans that would be a red letter day in the medical world.
